| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Aube TH110-SP-P boasts one of the market's largest, most legible LCDs. Advanced temperature control ensures total comfort by minimizing temperature swings. 7-day Programming provides separate programming options for each day of the week (4-periods per day); pre-programmed or personalized schedule. On and standby switch enables thermostat shutdown at end of heating season for added security. Temporary bypass enables temperature override without changing programming.

| Customer Reviews: Big readable display, looks good, but appears to lack key feature. January 11, 2010 Michael E. Wright (Silicon Valley, CA, USA, proud to be an American) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased one of these and a Lux ELV4 about 1 year ago, and have spent time with each.
Pros:
- Great display. I can read the display in dim light with no glasses (my eyes have standard age-related long-arm syndrome).
Cons:
- This Aube controller has only 2 temp settings, demarcated by moon & sun. CONTROLLERS MUST HAVE 3 SETTINGS! (1) Morning/evening warm, (2) nightime cool, (3) daytime way cool.
- The relay clicks when it goes on and off, quietly, but loud enough to wake up my wife. (I imagine the relay will last longer with its swift switching.)
- To disable heating, as in summer or warmer days, take face plate off, slide switch to standby, but then the display is blank and the temperature is not displayed.
The much lower cost Lux ELV4 has 3 temp settings :-), but I can not read the tiny LCD display even with my reading glasses and room lights on, the icons are miniscule. The Lux is quieter switching. The Lux has a big air gap between it and the wall such that I can see into the electrical box, ugly, will not cover the hole in the drywall if drywall cut-out is only 3/8ths larger than the box. The Lux has a nice slide switch on the side to disable heat for warm days & summer, but the display stays on.
Neither this Aube nor the Lux quite do it, I will be looking at other models for further purchases.
I want the Lux features with the Aube display.
