| Customer Reviews: Good Fan For Our Needs August 25, 2010 Tri21Mom (Virginia) Our old fan gave up the ghost so I ordered this one as a replacement. We use it mainly as white noise for sleeping and it has suited our purposes well. We needed one that made a good bit of noise and it does, but it's not obnoxiously loud. It also puts out a decent amount of air-flow (augmenting our A/C) to keep us cool on hot and sticky southern nights. I gave it four stars because it's made a bit cheaply, but, for the price, it's what we expected.
good fan that's as loud as a car August 30, 2009 I. Sophonpanich (Honolulu, HI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, first the good points. It's a cheap, small fan that moves surprisingly a lot of air. It looks good. It tilts 90 degrees and if you rest it between the edges of the stand and the fan case, you can get it to blow downwards. It's well-built and seems pretty sturdy.
The bad point is the noise. It is really, incredibly noisy. I live in the middle of big city right across from a 24-hour supermarket that has vehicles coming in to deliver things all day and night so I'm used to a bit of noise, but this fan beats them all. If I put the fan too close to me, I actually get a headache from the noise! So if you need this fan to create some ventilation in your kitchen or bathroom, then it's perfect. But if you're going to be anywhere near to it for a long time, then it's far too noisy.
I like it January 15, 2008 Big Reader Small but very powerful little fan. Definitely noisy at top speed but that suits me as it blocks out outside noises at night which keep me awake as I suffer from insomnia. So it's perfect for me. The lower speeds are less noisy so I use those settings during the day to keep my laptop cool or anywhere else in the house that I can easily tote it to.
Tiny Fan - Big Air! October 7, 2007 Pamela V (Mississippi Gulf Coast) This fan is pretty small, and cute, too! It has three speeds, and lowest is pretty useless. The high setting puts out alot of air for such a small fan, but it's pretty loud. The medium setting is just right for a personal fan, and not too loud, either. For the price, it's a good deal.
good strong fan June 13, 2007 R. Nestor For it's size which is relatively small this fan delivers a powerful air flow. It's a workhorse. Sound seems appropriate. Not real quiet, not real noisy. We use it in our business to circulate air in a hot laundry room.
